A brief message for National Coming Out Day:
To those of you who are out, awesome!
If you’re not ready to come out, that’s okay. Take your time.
Regardless, it’s important to be comfortable in your own skin. No matter how you identify, know that loving yourself is important.
For some, coming out’s easy. For others, it’s hell. It was hell for me, so I understand the crap that so many have to deal with. We risk our friends, family, jobs, and more just for being ourselves. It sucks, but it’s a real thing.
So no matter where you’re at in your life, remember to always be true to yourself. Easier said than done, but don’t let others drag you down; your opinion is the one that matters. Love yourself, love others, and keep kicking ass.
